Do you need some motivation to get active? Join us for Active April!

We have created an activity calendar to keep all our ninja's and their families busy this month! Each day has an activity, challenge or skill to practice, most activities can be completed independently to allow you some much needed free time. Alternatively, it is a great opportunity to get out and active with your child. We place a huge emphasis on creating a habit of daily activity to ensure life long fitness. What better way to support this message than by showing your children how important daily activity is! Although each activity is easy and simple to do, it will challenge children and adults of all ages and you should have all the equipment available at home. If your Ninja would rather do a different activity any day, they can do that instead or if they have training that day they can colour a box for that day. The focus is on activity and creating habits!

As a further incentive, each child or family that completes 30 days of activity will be put into a draw to win a family pass to Dublin Zoo. All you have to do is send us some photos of your child or your family completing the tasks throughout the month. The calendar is attached below to download and print so that your child can keep track of their progress by colouring each box once they have completed the activity. The calendar is also being given out in classes this week.

You can share your pictures with us on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter by tagging us (all the links to our social media are on the website header or tag @ninjafitnessireland) alternatively you can email the photos to us. Then bring the completed calendar to any class before May 13th. The draw for the Dublin Zoo prize will take place on Sunday May 15th at 5pm.

This year we are including a calendar for the adults, where you can make your own plan to follow for the next 30 days to kick start your fitness journey!

Most of you won't be aware but I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome just before the pandemic and have been avoiding exercise, other than walking, for the last two years. I am finally in a position to get back to exercise which is daunting! I will be documenting my journey on Instagram & Facebook, I'd really love some company.

This is your opportunity to get back into the habit of exercising, by joining me on my journey. As little as 20 minutes activity a day can make a difference to your mental & physical health, lets create a habit together! Simply download the calendar make a plan of activities you enjoy, be realistic with what you can fit into the day, start with 15 to 20 minutes, brisk walking, interval walk/running, yoga, pilates or maybe try something new! I've been trying Aerial Hoop lately, it's hard work, sometimes nauseating but loads of fun! Let me know on social media what you're getting up to!
